What about Smart Glasses?

Do you have a view on Smart Glasses?

The emerging debate about whether smart glasses should be permitted in schools mirrors many of the arguments previously raised around mobile phones. Supporters worry that wearable devices could heighten distraction, blur boundaries between learning and surveillance, and intensify well being concerns already linked to constant connectivity. Others argue that, if used intentionally, smart glasses could enhance learning and accessibility in ways traditional devices cannot.

As with phones, the core issue is less about the technology itself and more about how schools cultivate responsible, healthy, and equitable digital habits.

One schools' statement

The school my daughter goes to has issued this statement to all members of the community. It is just one approach and one example. It is not presented as the definitive and only model.
