March 2026 Updates and Notices

Dear subscribers
Welcome to the March Updates and Notices!
During the past month, some of the additional resources added to InThinking Business Management include:
- A new revision poster for Unit 1.5 (Internal and external growth) has been added here.
- A revision poster for Unit 3.2 (Sources of internal and external finance) has been added here.
- A new revision poster for Unit 3.3 (Costs vs Revenues) has been added here.
- A new interactive A-Z Branding Quiz has been added here for Unit 4.5 (The importance of branding). There is also a PDF version that you can print to use with students in class.
- A new revision poster for Unit 3.5 (Balance sheets) can be downloaded here, showing the differences between current and non-current assets.
- Students can test their understanding of the contents Unit 3.7 (Liquidity position) by having a go at the new Quizlets here. They can choose their preferred Quiz format from the drop down menu (Flashcards, Match, Learn, Test, and/or Spell).
- Teachers can also download a new revision poster outlining the differences between primary and secondary research (as part of Unit 4.4) here.
- A new revision poster for Unit 5.6 (Make-or-buy decisions) has been added here, along with an explanation of how to use the CRUISE acronym.

- A new revision poster outlining the differences between contingency planning and crisis management has been added here for Unit 5.7.
- A new revision poster that uses the BRIGHT framework has been added here for Unit 5.8 to help students to remember the importance of Research & Development (R&D).
- Our latest Paper 2, Section A, resource has been added here. Topics covered include Unit 1.2 - Types of business entities: Partnerships, Unit 3.5 - Profitability and liquidity ratio analysis: Current ratio and Quick ratio, and Unit 3.7 - Cash flow forecasts. This resource has been created in collaboration with Samik Das, Housemaster and Teacher of IBDP Business Management and Economics at The Doon School, India. Many thanks to Samik for his creativity and generosity in sharing yet another excellent resource with the InThinking Business Management community!
Student Access

With IB exams starting on 29th April (Business Management Paper 1 and Paper 3), subscribers are reminded that their students can gain free access to the InThinking Business Management website by activating Student Access from the homepage.
At the time of writing, 31 569 students have complimentary access. Subscribers can also register additional Business Management teachers at their school, allowing them to access at no extra cost.

Paper 1 pre-release statement

Unsurprisingly, our most visited page last month was the Paper 1 pre-release statement for the May 2026 examination (Abraca), with 6514 visits at the time of writing.
The pre-release was released on My IB on 29th January 2026.
Teachers can activate Student Access from the homepage to let students explore the ATL activities, lesson ideas, embedded videos, tri-dominoes, interactive quizzes, top tips, Quizlets, exam practice questions, and other resources in preparation for the May 2026 Paper 1 exam.
A big “thank you” to all the teachers who joined our two Think-In upskilling courses on the pre-release earlier this month. 🙏
