September 2023 Updates & Notices
Dear InThinking users
It's September, so most colleagues in May centres will already have started the new academic year whilst those in November centres will be busy preparing students for the upcoming exams in late October 2023.
The bulk of the new materials added to the site over the past month has been to support teachers and students preparing for the Paper 1 (Brondy's PLC) pre-seen case study. These include quizzes and activities for key terms linked to the case study, interactive vocabularly quiz, contextualized research task, case study comprehension quiz, true or false quizzes, a "5-4-3-2-1" thinking skills activity, SWOT analysis quiz, personnel quiz, and timeline activity. The activities can be accessed here.
Exam practice questions are being added to the site here. Please ask N23 candidates to bookmark this page for additional questions, top tips, and support materials that will be added during September.
Other updates to the website include:
The highly popular "Tridominoes Activity" returns - this time for Unit 1.2 here. Your students will enjoy this engaging activity which will get them talking about the different types of business entities in the syllabus.
Additional exam practice questions for Descriptive Statistics, as part of the Business Management Toolkit (BMT), have been added here.
As more schools commence with the new Internal Assessment, the FAQs section on the website has been expanded here.
A new poster has been created for the new SL external assessments, which can be downloaded here. Many thanks to Tahmidul Haq Ansari for collaborating with InThinking to create this poster. Tahmid is the IB DP Coordinator and Extended Essay Coordinator at Abdul Kadir Molla International School (AKMIS) in Bangladesh.
