Welcome to the April 2023 Updates and Notices!

I'm delighted to share a couple of milestones with you during the past month:

• Our 1,800th teacher joined the InThinking Business Management community from Redlands in Australia. At the time of writing, we have 1,823 registered teachers across 112 countries who use InThinking Business Management.

• We also welcomed our 18,000th student from Oak House School in Spain. As of 1st April 2023, there are 18,584 registered students with free access to the website.

If you don't already do so, please consider activating Student Access from your account to give all your students FREE access to the website. There is no additional cost for doing this. Furthermore, you have control over which pages your students can see at any time.

It may be hard to believe, but the Paper 1 (SVT) examination is scheduled to take place later this month on Friday 28 April, with the Paper 2 exam schedule on Monday 1st May 2023. Please remind your students about the following resources to support them for the pre-seen case study:

• ATL Activities for M23 (Skandvig Terra PLC) (Sixteen ATL Activities to prepare students for the Paper 1 exam, with content in excess of 6,600 words)

• P1 M23 Exam practice questions (50 exam practice questions for the SVT case study, with suggested answers).

Other updates to the website

• A new True or False Quiz for "Critical infrastructures" (Unit 5.9) can be found here.

• A new Vocabulary Quiz has been created for the "Benefits, risks, and ethical implications of management information systems (MIS)" (Unit 5.9) as well as an Exam Practice Question for this new section of the syllabus.

• For BMT 7 - Descriptive statistics, students at St. Dominic High School have worked on ATL Activity 3 and shared one of their infographic posters that you can access here. Many thanks to their teacher Saakshi Anil Daryani for sharing this with the InThinking Business Management community.

• For BMT 13 - Critical path analysis (HL only), additional exam practice questions have been added to support students with this challenging aspect of the new course. Teachers can access the answers using the Teacher Only Boxes here.

• Following from the recent InThinking training sessions, the list of research questions which were graded A or B in the Extended Essay for Business Management has grown to 50. Please take a look at the list here. Many thanks to the teachers who have contributed to this list in order to support others in the process of starting their own EE.

• Our inaugural "Quantitative techniques" Think-In upskilling course took place in late March 2023. The list of the 80+ quantitative key terms and techniques in the new Business Management course can be found here along with 4 new interactive quizzes for your students to practice their quantitative skills.

• For more Paper 2 exam practice, a new question plus full mark scheme has been added here. This has been created and kindly shared by Gema Quintanilla who teaches at ACS International School Egham, UK, where she is also the Business@School Coordinator. Sincere thanks to Gema for sharing this resource with the InThinking community!

• Finally, please direct your students to this new webpage on InThinking which contains a Google Slides presentation with Top Tips for the May 2023 exams. Please remember that you can activate Students Access to give your students free access to this, and the vast majority of resources on InThinking Business Management.
