Exam practice questions
Over the summer we have completed a full set of exam practice question pages, one for each topic.
These pages are great for homework or revision.
The Exam practice concept;
- Study some of the key concepts for a topic
- Attempt to answer three or four paper 2 style questions about the topic
- Reveal the model answers.
- Improve the first answers using the model answer points which appear.
- Upload and send proof of your work to your teacher.
The pages all have “exam practice” in the title so they are easy to find. Teachers can assign the page as a task for homework, and there is an upload button for students to upload proof of their work.
Student self-study option
This is an example of an exam practice page.

There is an popup flashcard tool to help students practice remembering the key words
Progress is saved so students can keep track of their progress.
There are over 400 flashcards on the InThinking Biology site, sorted into topics and labelled with the level, SL & HL or additional HL only

Classwork option
Teachers could print the questions from the page to use in class, so that the answers are not visible.
The questions are colour coded, green for both AL and HL students, red for additional HL only questions.

Model answers are written in sentences as the best IB students should do in their exams. These questions and the model answers have been written by experience IB Biology teachers and examiners.

Upload proof
Once the work is complete, students can upload a document, or a photo of their work, proof that it was done.
This is saved into the teacher's markbook in the student access area of the InThinking site.

Alternatively work could be checked in the next lesson - face to face.
