Propagation of action potentials HL (2025)
Action potentials can propagate along axons due to the movement of ions across the membranes. This series of activities explores this by looking at a simulation of the movement of ions through voltage-gated channels. Oscilliscope traces are then used to visualise and interpret cellular events. Finally, saltatory conduction is considered. What might cause the change in the voltage seen in the image?
