Bonding in proteins HL (2025)

This activity uses a range of activities to explore some of the non-covalent bonding which is found in proteins. A simple card matching game shows the formation of hydrogen bonds, ionic bonds and di-sulfide bonds between R-groups of polypeptides and proteins. Students answer questions about insulin, collagen and haemoglobin to illustrate the structure of a conjugated protein as well as globular and fibrous proteins....
