Cell division & cytokinesis (2025)

In this activity students connect to prior knowledge about cell division and consider the importance of generating new chromosomes before cell divide. This illustrates the difference between nuclear division and the division of the cytoplasm. Cytokinesis follows nuclear division and usually splits the cytoplasm into equal volumes, but this isn"t the case for budding in yeast, nor in oogenesis, a activity three shows.
