This structured extension question is in the style of an IB exam question. 
It has a focus on the concept of enzymes and metabolic pathways. 

Several enzymes often catalyse a sequence of reactions in metabolic pathways as shown in the diagram above.

For each statement below:

  • State whether it is true or false,
  • Explain why - with reference to the role of enzymes in metabolic reactions and pathways.
