Back to School (For Some)
If you are in a southern hemisphere IB school, you will, we hope, forgive the self-absorption of your colleagues in the north. For us northerners, it is back to school time. At InThinking, we haven't had an idle summer. At any rate, we have not had an entirely idle summer. If you are revisiting the site after some time away, you may notice it looks a little different. Hopefully, like you, it appears a little refreshed! The changes to the site are more than superficial. Not least, we are well into the process of making student access a much friendlier and more valuable experience. It may take us a little while to complete all updates. 1.4 million words are not edited in a night. However, within a matter of weeks, by the time the leaves are switching colour, most updates will be complete.
If you are looking for something for a dynamic start the the school year, you could consider one of these pages:
Time and Space: Thinking Pluralistically
Multivocality and International Mindedness
Dystopian Fiction: A Cultural Debate
If you'd like an exciting non-literary body of work to engage your students, you could consider one of these:
Small Axe: An Anthology of 5 films
Stephen Fry's 7 Deadly Sins - a podcast series
The site is being updated daily. Welcome back to school (to those of you in the north).
