Artificial Intelligence Cartoons (Lessons 8-10)

This week, we are publishing the last three lessons plans using Jeff Koterba's cartoons about artificial intelligence as a non-literary body of work.  You can find the first seven lessons below.

These last three lessons focus on assessment.  Students have been assigned a “Mini-Individual Oral.”  The lessons provide you time to introduce the (very modified) IB assessment task and provide students time to actually work on the task in class.  This gives you time to confer with your students and help push them forward in their thinking and analysis.

By the end of the unit, students will have not only analyzed a wide variety of cartoons (as a non-literary body of work), but also started to think even more critically about artificial intelligence and the impact of AI in their lives.

Best,

Tim and David
