Artificial Intelligence Body of Work Cartoons (Lessons 4-7)

Two weeks ago, we started publishing resources, materials, and lesson plans using Jeff Koterba's cartoons about artificial intelligence as a non-literary body of work.  You can find the first three lessons below.

Lesson 1

Lesson 2

Lesson 3

This week, we are adding four more lessons.  The first three lessons move slowly.  They are meant to ground students in the type of analysis and discussion about texts we want to see in our classrooms.  This week’s group of lessons move fast.  Students will cover a whole bunch of cartoons in a short amount of time.  They will need to hone their analytical skills and sharpen their ability to do the work without set questions to answers and without us leading them through the analysis.  You can find the four lessons below.

Lesson 4

Lesson 5

Lesson 6

Lesson 7

At the end of November, we will publish the last three lessons for this unit about the representation of artificial intelligence in Jeff Koterba's cartoons with a summative assessment option.

Best,

Tim and David
