This week, we are publishing our 5th Paper 2 sample response from the May 2024 exams.  This is the first exemplar we have on the site the tackles question #4: Referring to two works you have studied, discuss how female heroism is represented by the writers.  

As for this particular exemplar, it is top-notch.  In particular, the exemplar shows how to blend both explicit examples or details from the work along with quotations when appropriate.  They do both and it's a nice touch.  There is also a strong understanding of characterization with a clear focus on the question - about female heroism and how it is presented to the reader or audience.  

As always, use what works for you, in your context, with your particular students and modify anything you need to change.  We will publish one more Paper 2 before May exams that also focuses on this question so that you can compare and contrast the two of them is so desired.
