Joseph O'Callaghan studied BA Society, Culture, and Media followed by a PGCE at the University of East Anglia in 2006.
He taught humanities at state schools in Norfolk before switching to English language teaching in 2010. This led to 7 years in Shanghai from 2013-2020 where he became well-acquainted with the IB, teaching English B and TOK, and completed an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL with the University of Leicester.
Now back in the UK, he's working as Head of English Language Learning at the International School of London. When he’s not teaching, he can be found playing guitar and writing songs, and playing with his two young children.
