In the autumn of 2021, the London teenager Giovanni Rose won a Foyle Young Poets of the Year award, for his poem 'Welcome to Tottenham' - a poem which gives a vivid insight into what it is like to be young and black in one of the poorer areas of London in the early Twenty First century.
