The year 2018 is the sixth year of assessment according to the Subject Guide introduced in 2011, and so by now teachers should know the requirements of each component pretty well, and examiners will have reported problems thoroughly, even repeatedly. So much of the May 2018 report consists of comments that have been made before. Not, I hasten to add, that repeating comments makes them any less true or relevant!
