Refugees & Home
The real experience of being a refuge is something that few of us find easy to imagine, living as we do in our comfortable schools and homes. The idea of having a 'home' is something that we take very much for granted, and it is that easy assumption that the poet Warsan Shire explores and questions in her poem 'Home' (or, as it was originally entitled, apparently, "Conversations about Home (at a deportation centre)"...
