This image is from a beach in Barbados in the Caribbean. Standard British English remains the official language used in government, law, education, and written media due to over 300 years of British rule. The majority of the tourists who visit Barbados also come from the Anglophone world: Canada, The United States and The United Kingdom. What is the role of holidays and travel with balance? How else can we be balanced?

This image shows university biologists studying and caring for loggerhead sea turtles near the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Caring also meaning caring for one's environment. How do you help to protect and care for the environment?

IB students are also excellent communicators which also means being good listeners and speakers. This image shows polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba in Canada communicating by touching noses. How do you communicate and how can you grow to be an even better communicator?

Being an inquirer also means being curious about knowledge and learning. This image is from Stonehenge in England. Today experts know that it is a famous prehistoric monument where experts know its basic timeline and stone orgins, but they still debate on its exact purpose. Do you think we will ever know the purpose of Stonehenge?

Knowledgeable students don't just know information, they also know where and how to find the information. This image is from the library in Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. It is also home to the Book of Kells, a richly decorated 9th-century manuscript containing the four Gospels in Latin. What books are important in your culture and why?

This image is of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. Bridges are symbolic as well as structural. When this bridge was completed in 1883, it was the first steel-wire suspension bridge and the longest suspension bridge in the world when it opened. Symbolically it connects Brooklyn to Manhattan and represents hope of man's invention over the environment.

Nelson Mandela is known for being principled because he consistently prioritized core values of justice, equality, and human dignity over personal freedom or political convenience. You can also read more about Mandela's impact in South Africa if you read Trevor Noah's Born a Crime. How are you principled in your daily and academic life?

Lake Nakuru in Kenya is famous for being one of the world's most beautiful lakes. It is also well-known for being a famous shallow, alkaline soda lake in the Great Rift Valley, celebrated for its historic, massive flocks of pink flamingos. Great beauty can also help us to be reflective physically and symbolically. What are you reflective about in your own learning?

Risk taking can involve extreme adrenaline, such as this bungee jumper in New Zealand. It is known as the birthplace of commercial bungee jumping, started in 1988 by AJ Hackett and Henry van Asch at the historic Kawarau Bridge. Today many people enjoy to push their limits in this way. How do you challenge yourself to take risks?

Finally, its you! You are a critical and creative thinker who transfers knowledge across subjects as an IB student. This image is not meant to be a part of the Anglophone world, but rather to reflect you as a learner wherever you are! How are you being a more critical thinker today?
