October 2024 Updates and Notices

Welcome to the October 2024 Newsletter!

As content on the website continues to be added each week, please note some of the resources currently available to support teachers and students:

  • Two full Paper 1 mock exams, with full mark schemes (for the M24 Paper 1 examination session).

  • 18 different Paper 2 exam practice questions for the new syllabus, all with full mark schemes.

  • Five different Paper 3 (HL only) exams plus full mark schemes. There are also sample scripts with detailed feedback from highly experienced teachers and Paper 3 examiners.

  • A comprehensive Formulae Booklet covering all quantitative techniques in the BM course (there over 100 quantitative techniques are included in this booklet).

  • An extensive Glossary of key terms covering the entire Business Management syllabus (with over 700 key terms clearly defined to support students).

  • Updated advice on the new Internal Assessment following the M24 exams, including the new 5Cs framework for formulating suitable research questions, updated advice on the 3-5 supporting documents, and a comprehensive IA checklist for students.

  • Additional examination advice (called "Exams in context") based on the first set of exams (May 2024) for the new syllabus.

  • Resources and ATL activities for the upcoming November 2024 Paper 1 examination (OneWay Ltd), including exam practice questions.

Some of the updates to the website during the past month include:

  • Additional exam questions for Unit 1.3 Business objectives (Vision and mission statements) have been added here.

  • If you have not used the Question Bank's "Dynamic Quiz" feature in the past, please be aware the questions are updated each time your students take such a quiz. An example is this one here for Unit 5.5 Break-even analysis. In this particular quiz, there are 20 MCQs about break-even analysis, including calculation questions that will help prepare students for the Paper 2 examination.

  • Other recently added Dynamic Quizzes that you can assign to your students include:

  • Unit 3.3 Costs and revenues. This quiz contains 20 multiple choice and text gaps questions based on the contents of this topic, but there are 55 questions in total, so there is a different set of questions each time a student revisits or refreshes this page.

  • Unit 3.8 Investment appraisal. This quiz contains 15 questions based on this section of the syllabus, although there are more than 30 questions in the Question Bank for this topic. Again, students get a new set of questions each time they take the dynamic quiz here.

  • A third exam-practice question for Unit 4.6 International marketing (HL only) has been added here. This case study is based on the Coca-Cola Company. The other two exam practice questions on this site page are based on case studies about BMW and Tesla.

  • Additional exam practice questions for the November 2025 Paper 1 pre-release statement (OneWay Ltd). Answers will be populated, so do look out for further updates here.
