Paul Morris

I began writing as a travelling teacher, moving from my native UK to live and work in Mexico City, Madrid, Paris, London and now Switzerland. As an education writer, editor and developer I began as co-author of four titles in the Discovering the MYP series for IB Publications. I then conceived, designed and am series editor of Hachette Learning's MYP by Concept series. I am the author of the MYP 4-5 Physics by Concept title, co-author of the MYP 1-3 Sciences titles and co-author of the MYP 4-5 Sciences title. I developed and co-authored Hodder Education's IB Diploma Physics (3rd Edition) text with John Allum and have authored both hard copy and online Sciences resources for the national educational systems of Qatar and Sweden.

I have been an IBDP coordinator and Deputy Principal with responsibility for university guidance, an IB-MYP Coordinator, and Head of Science. I teach Physics, Sciences and Theory of Knowledge, and I am a Theory of Knowledge examiner. An early adopter of IBMYP, I was an IBMYP Sciences moderator and worked with the IB on the writing team for the MYP Sciences Guide 2010 and co-edited the accompanying MYP Sciences Teacher Support Materials. I have also worked as consultant to IB schools in the UK and led teacher workshops internationally, both independently and with InThinking. I speak French and Spanish and am learning Russian very slowly, and I work off my stress running, cross-country skiing and playing guitar, all of which with much enthusiasm but little technique.
