Essentials for Teachers

Getting around this site
As teachers get to know this site, they will find pages with information more suitable for their own teacher practice and the delivery of the IB Music DP Programme. However, parts of the site will be broken down to student accessibility. Student sites are meant to be developed with more hands-on application that link directly to the requirements of the course. The teacher's pages offer insight and thinking into the approach, culture and delivery of the programme.

Both teachers and students should first become familiar with the breakdown of the site. We've tried to structure these in such a way that are accessible and relevant to the diverse needs of today's global music teacher.
One of the biggest advantages of the website (as opposed to a text) is that the site becomes dynamic and flexible. Student needs constantly vary. We hope you take advantage of the "comments" section found at the bottom of each page. This offers an opportunity for ongoing collaboration and development to meet your needs.
Before beginning, take a moment to get acquainted with the essentials needed to develop the course. Specifically, you may find some of the following topics on this page worthy of review as you get to know the course
- The Course in a Nutshell
- The General Requirements
- The Aims of the Course
- Prior Learning and Student Accessibility
- Subject Reports and Global Statistics
- The Use of Artificial Intelligence
- Defining Areas of Inquiry (AoI)
