π Artist Projects π around the World

In π Artist Projects π around the World, we share an ongoing collection of real-world examples by artists (not students) that relate to The Artist Project (HL). These artworks serve to stimulate curiosity and open up new lines of thinking on how artists authentically situate their work in a variety of contexts around the globe.
An artist project is loosely defined as a deliberate creative exploration that produces a specific piece of work, often in relation to a particular place or community. When conceiving of your own Artist Project, you can refer to this index to have some points of reference.Β
Some of these projects are large-scale, well-funded, ongoing projects by famous artists. Others are humble interventions in neighborhoods, parks, everyday spaces, including community art by unknown artists and collaborative practices. The common thread is they are all situated in response to a place, time, event or other circumstances, and how the artist considers the audience that will experience it.Β
Similar to the other compilations in our resource library ( see Art Seed Bank (provocations) , β¨Sparksβ¨ (from artists) series ,π οΈCreative Strategiesπ οΈ Toolkit , which prompt new lines of inquiry and inspire new artworks or investigations, this collection will grow over time. If there are ideas of projects you'd like us to feature, please drop us a note below with a link to the project in the comments.
