π± Seed π± Abstract Body
Take a black and white photograph of a part of your own body ( i.e. your arm, leg, chest) that has an abstract feel, not easily recognizable for what it is.
It could be become a series of photos, think of it as a "body" of work.
This activity uses De-contextualization as a Creative Strategy. Changing the context of an object/image, removing recognizable context to create something odd, unplaceable.
Artist Link Asger Carlsen
This seed comes from Asger Carlsen in The Photographer's Playbook.
In the original exercise he suggests making sculpture based on the photograph: Make an object form the photo using a non photographic material like clay or metal.

Inquiry Questions
What happens when certain contextual information is removed? Why does context matter?
Is there a pleasure in creating or looking at something not immediately identifiable? How would you describe this feeling?
