Meaningful content

This Standard Level Exhibition is a fine example of a focused and coherent body of work that asks the question, where are we going? both with regards to the social and economic situation in her home country, Greece, and as humans in general.

Visual approaches

Lucia uses a variety of visual approaches and media to address her chosen topic: oil painting, photography, laser-cutter etchings, video and mixed media drawing. She uses realistic and symbolic imagery to explore some big ideas: " invisibility, waiting and numbness, lost hope, class-contrast, the changing urban environment".

The Curatorial Rationale clearly supports and justifies the exhibition

Lucia received a 7 for her exhibition mark, great work! Thanks also to her excellent teacher at CIS, Gora Lisazo.;)
