August Update 2024

Monday 2 September 2024

As many of us begin a new school year we will be anticipating the first lessons and meeting our new students ensuring they make a good start.
The new DP Biology guide contains a challenging amount of material, much of it reframed into the concepts and conceptual lenses of the 2023 Guide.  There are many new examples and even new processes like CRISPR and Upslope drift.
Here at InThinking we have lots of thorough and detailed teaching resources to help. Over the next couple of weeks we will publish the final topics.
There is an updated schedule on Teaching resources for Biology 2025 exams

We strive to help you and your students to succeed. We already have over 150 Lesson activity pages designed specifically for the DP Biology course and there are written tests and sets of model answers for all forty topics.

We haven't thoughtlessly recycled old material, because we aim to help teachers to be excellent IBDP teachers. We integrate the IB approaches to teaching and learning, we pay careful attention to the biological concepts and the specific application of skills or NoS in the guide.

During the autumn term we will be releasing a question bank of over 1000 questions written by experienced IBDP Biology teachers, you will be able to construct your own assessment tasks. We will have revision quizzes, and review sheets to help prepare for mock exams in class or in homework. We also plan to release more assessment materials for you to use in mock exams.

We wish you all a really successful new year (for those in the northern hemisphere) and a great spring term (if you are in the south).

Here is a selection of just a few of our latest new pages.
