The sociocultural approachThe sociocultural approach examines the effect of environmental and cultural factors on behavior. This approach argues that our behavior is influenced by other people, even when we believe we are acting independently. The focus in this unit is on our social identity, how individuals behave in groups, cultural influences on behavior, and the role of globalization on identity.
