Welcome to ThinkIB Psychology! The goal of this site is to provide you and your students with a wide range of resources to support the teaching and learning of psychology.
A large section of this site is devoted to lesson ideas and learning activities. This includes unit and lesson plans, video links, student worksheets, exemplar responses, quizzes, and study guides. There are also "key studies" which are explained and evaluated in detail.
I hope that you will find the resources on this site helpful in the planning and teaching of your program.
Psychology is a course that should be personally relevant to our students and learning should be done through doing. Although there is a significant amount of content that students have to learn, it does not need to be a lecture-based course.
You will see throughout the site that there are many examples of in-class activities, as well as online tasks that allow students to work at their own pace.
Inquiry-based units are available to allow students to follow their curiosity and study content that they find interesting.
There is also an online textbook that is kept up to date with IB changes and any errors are corrected.
There is a complete list of all references used in the textbook with links to the original studies when available.
There are weekly updates of new material on the site.
Pages may be printed using the print icon at the top of each page.
There are several presentations available in the lesson plans. These presentations are not downloadable. There is, however, a copy of the presentation in the appropriate revision section of the unit where you can make presentations available to students.
Finally, you will see a comments section on each page. I try to answer all questions each morning so that you have a response as soon as possible. When I am away from my computer for more than two days, I inform all subscribers that responses to questions will be less frequent.
If you have suggestions, always feel free to leave a comment on the site.
