Optional Practical: B field inside a coil
In this practical the relationship between the Flux density inside a current carrying coil and the number of turns on the coil will be determined by using a magnetic field sensor to measure the flux for different numbers of turns. Note that the sensor will need to be zeroed before you start your measurements to cancel out the effect of the Earth’s magnetic field. Make sure you keep the sensor pointing in the same direction...
