The apparatus used here is the PASCO rotational dynamics system but there are many other versions available. I tried to make a cheap version out of meccano but it didn"t work well, the main bearing needs to be good. The PASCO version has it"s own mount for the smart pulley so is particularly convenient. As you can see in the photo, there are a lot of additional attachments giving many possibilities for investigations.
