Explanations: Reflections

I have now done quite a few of these long explanations and I have been reflecting on the point of them. I don't see them as an assessment tool but as an aid to understanding. By putting the statements into order students have to think about what each statement means. There are certainly more than one correct order that makes sense but it's not about whether they can work out my word order, it's about analysing the steps and understanding their meaning. I think it could make a good group activity, there would likely be quite a bit of discussion.
