That's my school in the photo. Plenty of snow but it's melting fast. Pity because it would be great to do a gp4 project in the snow. Some years ago we did actually plan such a project, bought lots of appropriate equipment, snow shovels and the like. It melted. Once bitten twice shy. This year we are combining the gp4 project with our annual friluftsveka (ski-week), We only have enough skis to take half the first years at a time so we will use the time they are on campus. Groups of students (aim 10) are going to measure electrical energy consumption on campus over a 24 hour period (aim 8). The big change this year is there will be no face to face staff involvement, strictly hands off by the teachers but hands on by the students. Students will record their activity via group blogs that I will monitor (aim 7). I'll post live links here so you can see how it goes.
