Slinky resonance

I've just been working on the last of my lesson plans for next term. Don't worry, I wouldn't be spending all of my holiday doing this if it wasn't for this website. I was thinking about a good way of covering the topic practically and thought of  forcing a slinky to vibrate on the end of a vibration generator. Problem is I don't have enough of these vibrating things so wondered if my hand was good enough. My first exercise was to try to see if, at resonance, the oscillation of my hand is π/2 out of phase with the spring. I took a video of the motion and used LoggerPro to plot the position of both ends with time. Worked quite well I think.
