50 word Reflection

After completing the group 4 project students should write a reflective statement about the experience. This might have components of:

  • what they found challenging
  • what their most important contribution was
  • how they worked as a team
  • what their specific role was and how they arrived at it
  • how successful they were at completing the assignment
  • what they might do differently next time

IB students are good at reflecting, they do a lot of it in the CAS programme. But there is one big problem, the reflection is supposed to be only 50 words. The short statement in the image is 50 words, it's not much. So it seems that what is required is simply a statement saying "I did the group 4 project" rather than any true reflection. Pity.
