Related Investigations

This weekend I am working on a new feature in the practical worksheets called "related investigations". This is to be tagged onto the end of the support page associated with each piece of labwork. The idea is to give some ideas as to how the lab could be adapted to turn it into an investigation. For example the rolling ball lab could be extended by using the same technique to compare balls of different diameter. The image is an idea I had for extending the acceleration of a Ferrari lab instead of using a video of the speedometer of a Ferrari use a video of the dashboard of a hybrid car. This gives lots of interesting data to work with. Giving students plenty of ideas for investigations is definitely something to think about as we develop our practical schemes of work.
