Up and running

Even though it's holiday time I live next to the school so like to pop in now and again to see what's going on. Today I visited my classroom to see if the new board had been mounted and was glad to see it had been. Couldn't resist a play so ran home to get rid of the dog and fetch my computer. The guy who installed it was very keen to show me what it could do, but for come unknown reason insisted on demonstrating its sound system and video quality with rap music and children's cartoons. I have to say it's pretty impressive. If I had more comfortable furniture in my lab I'd be tempted to watch movies on it. In between the rap and the cartoon I managed to have a quick play with notebook software. The double touch tricks are really neat magnifying is done like on an iphone and spinning with finger and thumb. What I like best is the way you can throw words around like rolling balls on a pool table. I'm going to practice this over the holiday so that I can impress my students by throwing words into place.
