The sound of one hand rotating

What is it about making your fingers perpendicular to each other that's so funny. Today I gave my class one of the many 10minute testlets designed to make sure they read between classes. This one was about electromagnetism so they had to use their left hand which caused great hilarity. I wish my youtube video "Flemings left hand" was more popular. In terms of views. It is my most popular youtube contribution with 8,569 views but 20 of them are dislikes. The one like was one of my students trying to get an increase in his predicted grade. It worked, 2 becomes 3. My theory is that people searching for Flemings left hand are looking for some sort of instructional video rather than my artistic creation. And as for comment posted by missIlovetoodance, "Where is the sound" well have you ever heard the sound of one hand rotating. It's very quiet. Was she really expecting a search for Flemmings left hand would throw up some dance music? Maybe the number of views will go up now that I have spelt Fleming correctly. According to youtube statistics, Flemings Lefthand is most popular in India. Not surprising considering some of the Yoga poses that one has to enter when demonstrating all the variations.
