Correcting vision

When I was at school we studied a topic called "defects of the eye", I always thought that this title wasn't very politically correct so am glad to see that the new syllabus will include the topic "correcting vision" and not defects of the eye. Correcting vision is a nice topic since lots of students have glasses so can relate to the theory. Some years ago I came up with a new idea for correcting long sight by the simple application of a large G clamp. As you can see in the diagram the G clamp is used to squash the head thereby making the eyeball longer. No need for expensive eye tests and endless visits to the optician.
