This part of the Teachers only area of the site is aimed to support the effective teaching of the Maths-AA course by providing: (i) comprehensive support, advice & guidance for teaching the course syllabus, and (ii) high-quality teaching and assessment materials that you can use with your students. Course planning
This section deals with a range of important considerations when planning how best to teach the syllabus to your students - SL only, HL only, or SL & HL together. Sample teaching plans are provided.
Using the site's e-books
This section provides information about the e-books that are being developed by the site authors for teachers subscribed to the site. There will be separate interactive e-books for SL and HL. There is no extra cost to you or your students for access to either of the e-books. The first five units of the HL e-book are currently available and more units will be added regularly.
Teaching Number & Algebra (Topic 1)
This section offers practical and effectual support for teaching the Number & Algebra topic of the Maths-AA syllabus (SL & HL). There is a separate Teacher's page for each of the 6 units: 4 units for SL & HL, and 2 units for HL only. Each Teacher's page contains teaching notes, illustrative problems and downloadable teaching materials & assessments.
Teaching Functions (Topic 2)
This section offers practical and useful support for teaching the Functions topic of the Maths-AA syllabus (SL & HL). There is a separate Teacher's page for each of the 6 units: 5 units for SL & HL, and 1 unit for HL only. Each Teacher's page contains teaching notes, illustrative problems and downloadable teaching materials & assessments.
Teaching Geometry & Trigonometry (Topic 3)
This section offers practical and valuable support for teaching the Geometry & Trigonometry topic of the Maths-AA syllabus (SL & HL). There is a separate Teacher's page for each of the 4 units: 3 units for SL & HL, and 1 unit for HL only. Each Teacher's page contains teaching notes, illustrative problems and downloadable teaching materials & assessments.
Teaching Statistics & Probability (Topic 4)
This section offers practical and helpful support for teaching the Statistics & Probability topic of the Maths-AA syllabus (SL & HL). There is a separate Teacher's page for each of the 5 units for SL & HL. HL only content is covered but there is not a separate unit for it. Each Teacher's page contains teaching notes, illustrative problems and downloadable teaching materials & assessments.
Teaching Calculus (Topic 5)
This section offers practical and effectual support for teaching the Calculus topic of the Maths-AA syllabus (SL & HL). There is a separate Teacher's page for each of the 6 units: 3 units for SL & HL, and 3 units for HL only. Each Teacher's page contains teaching notes, illustrative problems and downloadable teaching materials & assessments.
