Welcome to the IB Leaders Website
Wednesday 19 July 2017
Who is it for?
It is written with Heads of School and IB Coordinators in mind. It is intended to make your life easier.
I recognise that in some of your schools you will be implementing the IB Diploma Programme alongside other national programmes and their requirements and therefore this website is aimed at being a one-stop site where you can find key information, a lot of implementation strategies and many quick wins.
How will the website help?
For the IB:
- Key information for implementing IB programmes – with, at this stage, a focus on the Diploma Programme. For example, Key documents, Key IB Policies, Glossary of IB Terms, IB Authorization, IB Evaluation.
- Practical tips for delivering the IB Diploma Programme.
- A Leadership Toolkit of facilitation activities that will help you develop collaborative practices amongst staff (and students).
- Case studies showing how IB World Schools are implementing the programmes around the world.
- A blog drawing attention to key actions in a leaders’ year.
For leadership in general:
- Tips and plans for delivering professional development and running PLCs.
- Guidance for developing Mission & Vision, Culture and context, and Strategic Leadership.
- Change Management processes and tools.
- Advice on Opening a new school – what to plan for (loads of tips and case studies).
- Leadership training – useful for senior and middle leaders.
- Teaching and Learning resources – generic and also specific to the IB approaches to teaching and learning.
- School Improvement tips.
