
Academic Biography (English)
Dr. Murat Narcı completed his undergraduate studies in Turkish Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University in 2013. He received his master’s degree from the same department in 2015 with his thesis “The split in Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca's poetry: Wandering into the valley of Çocuk ve Allah” He completed his doctoral studies in 2023, again in the same department, with his dissertation “‘Rewinding intricate century': The spatio-temporal motion in Tevfik Fikret and Nazım Hikmet's poems”
In the 2016–2017 academic year, he worked on the TÜBİTAK project “Servet-i Fünun Journal in Ottoman History.”
Together with Deniz Aktan Küçük, he co-edited the book Black Anxiety: Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil’s Literature as a Fin-de-Siècle Narrative (2019), contributing a chapter to the volume.
He previously taught literature courses at Sabancı University and Galatasaray University. He is currently continuing his academic work at Özyeğin University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
