Standing waves project

In this activity you will learn about standing waves by doing a series of experiments.Attach one end of the climbing rope to a high point then send pulses along the rope by flicking it.This is a standing wave, it is formed when the reflected wave interferes with the incident wave.Note that the ends in this animation do not move, these points are called nodes, the middle is called an antinode.
