First I recorded sound using the whole pipe (length 24.5 cm). This gave the frequency spectrum as shown.This clearly shows the different harmonics present in the note, however it appears that the first harmonic is missing. To determine the frequency of the first harmonic I measure each peak then found the difference between successive peaks.The wavelength of the 1st harmonic = 2 x length = 0.49m so the velocity = 344...
