What's happening?
Wednesday 28 June 2023
The question "What's happening?" used to be the prompt on Twitter when composing a new 'tweet'. Having checked this just now, I see Twitter has replaced it with "What is happening?!", perhaps in a bid to stir up one's emotions and strength of feeling.
It occurs to me, now I'm learning Norwegian, that I should also be asking "Hva skjer?".
But this blog isn't just about language. It's about InThinking Physics and what we're up to behind the scenes this summer.
After the end of term in Flekke, Chris and I set off pretty promptly to Barcelona for an InThinking authors summit. It was inspiring and motivational to check in with the authors on the other sites, and we have some interdisciplinary plans afoot that should benefit any student with Student Access on any site.
Five years after my last workshop assisting Chris, I have at long last been accepted under my own steam for workshop facilitator training with the IB. My group is comprised mostly of teachers whose first names start with 'E', 'G' and 'H', so I guess it's been organised alphabetically. As well as the obvious benefit for me of being able to link my teaching in the classroom to 'teaching' adults, some of my assignments might find their way to this blog, for example on themes like international mindedness. So far, so good!
And, finally, I'm pleased to say that will be right on time with a rejuvenated course for the new Guide to help you with straddling the two year groups next academic year.
