This student was highly interested in this topic and I was pleased with their choice and direction. It is simple, but relevant and to the point. In the end I was disappointed that that the candidate put more effort in to writing about the general issue of meat consumption than linking the mathematical processes to that commentary. It had potential to score higher, but does meet the criteria required for a simple maths...
