Basketball angles
This is a great new take on a Basketball exploration focusing on the reality that the angle of entry has to be a certain size before the basketball will physically fit through the hoop, even if the quadratic path is good! It goes through some trigonometry to quadratic modelling, then gradients and calculus. The candidate did very well with it and, as an idea, it ticks all the boxes.
