Yesterday didn't go brilliantly so today I'm trying a different approach. Students will be in class working through the activities, I will be at home waiting for their questions but this time I have set up a zoom.us meeting, this means I can talk and draw instead of just write. I have installed zoom on my ipad and can use the whiteboard in zoom to share my scribblings. Yesterday I tried asking leading questions that didn't lead anywhere, today I'll just wait. Students can join the meeting when they want to ask something and leave when they don't. I have high hopes.

Unfortunately the hopes were the high point, few students joined the meeting and when the did the audio was too poor to be used. Made some progress with hangouts though, just need to work out a system for sharing my ipad screen, maybe if I do a hangout via my ipad?
