It can be an interesting project for students to make their own biofuel and to test its efficiency.In the past I have made biofuel as a demo and had students make it independently as part of a group 4 project. As an extension students could compare the combustion of biodiesel with other fuels. You will find that the biodiesel burns much cleaner than normal diesel that you"d buy at a petrol station.
