The Independent Investigation is the formal component of the Internal Assessment and should take about 10 hours of time to complete. It is important to have a plan for how you will approach the Independent Investigation, thinking about the development of skills during the course, when you can do fieldwork, if you want to use this for your investigations, and at what point during the course will your students be ready to complete the investigation.
