Men's Health Magazine Covers (Lessons 8-11)

Thursday 17 October 2024

This is the last of a series of posts about the representation of masculinity using Men's Health magazine covers as a non-literary body of work.  It functions as a set of 10 lessons - a full unit of study - with day by day lesson plans with an optional 11th lesson added at the end.  We've already published lessons 1-7.  Today, we are providing the last four lessons in the unit.  You can find them linked below.

In addition to this 10 lesson unit of study, we also have an opening post about this concept that provides you with the resources and materials needed to present it to students.  And we have another page that positions two text types against each other and asks students to debate them in relation to masculinity.  There's a lot here!  Choose what works for you and your students to fit your needs, in your particular context.

Best,

Tim and David
