In new IB Diploma schools, subject teachers must submit a subject outline to the IB as part of their school's authorization process. Perhaps you are that teacher, and you have been asked to construct a course outline for English A: Language and Literature.This week, we are publishing a sample outline (available here to subscribers) intended to support new teachers. There are many ways that you could put together an outline; there is no one, right way of doing this. If you are submitting a course outline, it should, of course, reflect your own course and your own circumstances. Cutting and pasting the work of another teacher or school is quite pointless. Nevertheless, we hope that this outline can support your own thinking if you are writing or will soon write your own outline.
